This is Tūrangi

Our commitment

No business will be left behind.

The goal of this community-based initiative is to establish a collaborative web presence that promotes the local region and unites everyone in a collective space rather than operating as individuals.

The aim of prioritising the Tūrangi community is to foster community growth by offering online support for local community organisations, small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and larger employers.

The purpose of developing this community-based project is to create a web presence that is collective in nature, focused on promoting the local region and bringing everyone together in one space, more collective than individual.

Local Residents

Envision a unique community information tool, the pulse of our community. It’s not just a calendar, it’s a hub of resources and a gateway to volunteer organisations.

Our focus is on the power of grassroots people, especially our invaluable volunteers. It’s about bringing everyone together as a collective community, where each individual, especially our volunteers, plays a crucial role in our shared success.

Our ultimate goal is to create a space that welcomes and includes everyone, a space where you can find what you need and contribute to what you believe in.

Local Business

For small local businesses, the importance of local relationships cannot be overstated. Your presence and contribution are not just important but vital to the fabric of our community.

It’s important to remember that town promotion is not just about individual businesses. It’s about the collective growth of the local economy, and every business, regardless of size, plays a significant part in this.

Non Residents

Helping non-residents (holiday homeowners, former/future residents, future businesses, and whanau) stay connected to the community and the area they love, providing them with a community resource for future visits to the Tūrangi area.

Helping to market the area regionally and nationally, increasing online visibility and building trust to showcase a vibrant community.

Tourists

Promote Tūrangi as a destination and the gateway to the Tongariro National Park.

Be international-ready and reach overseas markets effectively as a community.

Simply Put

Currently, the information available for the local area is scattered over local newspapers, websites, Facebook pages, noticeboards, word of mouth, and newsletters, posing a significant challenge in accessing it.

• Often past-dated
• Information isn’t reaching the right people on time
• Unbiased or biased opinions
• Lack of transparency

Most importantly, this project has the potential to show Tūrangi as functioning and vibrant community, enhancing its image and functionality.

Businesses, Cafe, Restaurants, Takeaways, Pubs, Churches, Community Groups, Health and Medical, Schools, Shops, Sports and Fitness, Tourism and More.
